The
Annual Mid-Winter Conference held on March 25th and 26th at the Lexington
Hotel in Lansing, Michigan was very successful. This was a great collaboration
with the Michigan Juvenile Detention Association (MJDA). We believe this collaboration has
been beneficial to each association as we strive to give our members
quality training experiences. I extend a special thank you to the board
members who worked diligently to make this conference a successful event.
Again,
congratulations to Mason Loeblein from the
Saginaw County Family Court for being selected as our Youth Achievement
Award Winner. Mason was
awarded overnight accommodations a savings bond, gift certificate and
plaque presented by the Association at a beautiful luncheon. Mason’s family, the Saginaw
County Family Court and the Juvenile Justice Association are very proud
of his achievements.
The
Annual Conference at Shanty Creek, Bellaire, MI is just around the
corner. Please reserve the
dates of September 22-24, 2010 to attend this training opportunity. You don’t want to miss this
conference. I would like to
remind everyone to make your reservations as soon as possible to ensure
room availability.
Once
again, the Association will present the Mary S. Coleman Award to a court
employee that excels in their job performance and extracurricular
activities. Please send
nominations to Cynthia Morley, 10th Judicial Circuit - Family Division,
3360 Hospital Road, Saginaw, MI 48603. If there are any questions please
call me at (989) 799-2821, Ext. 4128 or e-mail me at

Thank
you! Have a great summer in our beautiful State of Michigan and we will
see you in September!
