The Juvenile Justice Association of Michigan is an organization formed in 1973 by the merger or the County Juvenile Officer’s Association and the Family Court Workers Association. JJAM is concerned with providing representation for all juvenile justice personnel, promoting and maintaining standards of efficiency within the Michigan Family Justice System and encouraging progressive legislation, resolutions and other desirable programs representing the common interest of children and their families in the State of Michigan.
MAFCA was founded in 1974 to provide a representative, non-partisan organization through which Family Court Administration could discuss issues and develop positions relative to staffing, budgeting, programming and legislation pertaining to the juvenile justice system. Our primary objective is to promulgate, promote and maintain proper standards for efficiency, effectiveness and accountability for the administration of the juvenile justice system in order to better serve children and families. Membership is open to managers responsible for the formulation of policy and/or supervision of staff of the Family Division of the Circuit Court.
